Scope
The purpose of standardization in the field of personal protective equipment is to present the requirements for performance, safety, test methods, specifications and marking of these products. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a device or means intended to be worn or held by a person to protect against one or more risks that could threaten their safety or health primarily at work.
