Background

The implementation of the ISO 9001 standard on quality management system requirements worldwide has created a need for trained, professional auditors to evaluate the quality systems of suppliers. To be effective and deliver real benefits to customers and suppliers, the auditor needs a clear understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001 and a suitable audit methodology. The auditor also needs skills developed to carry out successful audits and manage difficult situations with confidence.
