Scope
Standardization of the bases of the calculation of the constructions whatever the building material, in particular as regards the terminology and the symbolization, the loads, the forces and other stresses and the limitations of the deformations. Examination and coordination of the basic requirements for the reliability of constructions as a whole, including the study of constructions made of particular materials (steel, stone, concrete, wood, etc.) as much as is necessary for the preparation of a common approach to reliability in liaison with the relevant technical committees.
